Plants For A Future (PFAF) is a charitable company that carries out research and provides information on edible and otherwise useful plants suitable for growing outdoors in a temperate climate.

Keveral Farm
Keveral Farm is an organic farm community near Looe, Cornwall. The original community was established in 1973, and the farm is now owned and managed co-operatively by the members of the community.

Landmatters is a rural Permaculture Project working within Devon to promote landbased communal living.

Vegan Organic Network
An ambitious charity with an international network of active supporters. It aims to research and promote vegan-organic (stockfree) methods of agriculture and horticulture so that “organic plus” food becomes widely available.

Surfers Against Sewage (SAS)
An environmental charity protecting the UK’s oceans, waves and beaches for all to enjoy safely and sustainably, via community action, campaigning, volunteering, conservation, education and scientific research.

Low Impact Living Initiative
A non-profit organisation that aims to help as many people as possible to live more sustainably and to reduce their reliance on the corporate sector. Brilliant website packed with info.

Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT)
An education and visitor centre which demonstrates practical solutions for sustainability. They cover all aspects of green living: environmental building, eco-sanitation, woodland management, renewable energy, energy efficiency and organic growing.

A grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (and getting) stuff for free in their own towns. It’s all about reuse and keeping good stuff out of landfills.
